Help & answers.
Short answers to the questions we hear most — about giving, bringing the holy bread, events and registration, the parish store, and reaching the clergy. For anything not covered here, the parish is glad to help directly.
Giving & donations
Making an offering, recurring gifts, designations, and receipts.
How is my donation processed?
Your gift is taken by card through Stripe, the same secure checkout used by countless nonprofits. When you press "Make an offering" you're handed to Stripe's own hosted page to enter your card — the parish site never sees or stores your card number.
Your donation is charged directly to your parish's own account, so the money goes to the parish, not to a middle-man.
Can I give once, or set up a recurring gift?
Both. Choose One-time for a single offering, or Monthly to set up a recurring gift that runs automatically on the same date each month.
You can change or stop a recurring gift at any time — manage it from your member account, or just ask the parish office and they'll take care of it.
Can I choose what my gift supports?
Yes. Use the Designation menu to direct your offering — General fund, Building, Memorial, or whatever funds your parish has set up. Your choice is recorded with the gift so the parish can steward it accordingly.
If you're giving through a campaign page, your gift is counted toward that campaign's goal automatically.
Will I get a receipt? Is my gift tax-deductible?
A receipt is emailed to you automatically once the payment goes through.
Whether a gift is tax-deductible depends on your parish's own nonprofit status, which the parish controls. Many parishes can also provide a year-end giving statement. For anything tax-related, check with your parish office.
The giving form says online giving isn’t set up yet.
Some parishes haven't finished connecting online payments yet. Until then, you can still give by check or in the offering basket on Sunday — your offering counts just the same, and online giving will open on this page as soon as it's ready.
Holy bread (prosphora)
Bringing or ordering the offering loaves for the Liturgy.
What am I signing up for?
You're offering to provide the prosphora — the holy bread (the offering loaves) used at an upcoming Divine Liturgy. Pick a service on the schedule and add your name.
Do I bake it myself, or can the parish provide the bread?
It depends on the parish. Everyone can choose "I'll bring it" — a simple sign-up to bake or bring the loaves yourself.
If your parish also bakes prosphora to offer, you'll see an "Order from the parish" option, which lets you order loaves and pay securely online at checkout.
What happens after I sign up?
Your sign-up goes to the priest, who confirms your offering before the service. If anything needs adjusting, the parish will reach out — so please leave contact details.
Do I need an account?
No. Anyone can sign up; just give your name and email so the priest can confirm with you. If you're a signed-in parishioner, your sign-up is linked to your record automatically.
On the public schedule, members are shown by first name and last initial for privacy.
Can I include names to be commemorated?
When you order loaves from the parish, you can list names of the living and the departed to be commemorated, plus any notes for the priest. Give the number of loaves (up to ten) and you'll be shown the total before you pay.
Events & registration
RSVPs, tickets, and adding events to your calendar.
How do I let the parish know I’m coming (RSVP)?
On events that accept RSVPs, sign in and choose Yes, Maybe, or No, and note how many guests you're bringing. You can come back and change your reply any time before the event.
How do I register or buy tickets?
Events that take registrations show a Register or Buy tickets button. Free registrations are confirmed on the spot; paid tickets are handled through Stripe Checkout, the same secure card payment used across the site.
You can register more than one person by choosing the number of tickets. A confirmation is emailed to you.
Can I add the event to my calendar?
Yes — every event has Add to Google Calendar and a Download .ics option (which works with Apple Calendar, Outlook, and others). Times are shown in the parish's local time.
What if an event is full?
When a ticket type has limited seats, you'll see how many remain. Once they're gone the event shows as sold out and the button closes, so nobody is over-booked.
I need to cancel or ask about a refund.
For an upcoming free registration, open the private ticket link from your confirmation to cancel it yourself. Cancellations for paid tickets and any refunds are handled by the parish directly, since policies differ from parish to parish. Reach out through the parish's contact page and they'll help.
Parish store
Checkout, receipts, order tracking, and availability.
How does checkout work?
Add items to your cart, then check out through Stripe — Apple Pay, Google Pay, and debit/credit cards are all accepted. Your card details go straight to Stripe; the parish site never handles them. A receipt is emailed to you.
How do I check on my order later?
After you pay, you're given a private link to your order. Keep it — you can return to it with your email to see the order again. Your receipt email is the quickest way back to it.
An item I want is out of stock.
Items the parish is out of are marked sold out rather than hidden, so you can see they exist. Stock is updated as orders come in — check back, or ask the parish whether more is coming.
The store says online payment isn’t set up.
Some parishes run their bookstore in person only, or haven't finished connecting online payments yet. In that case, please visit the parish bookstore — the folks there can help you directly.
What about pickup, shipping, or a refund?
How you receive an order — and any refunds or exchanges — is arranged by the parish, since it differs from place to place. Use the contact page if you need to sort something out.
Contacting the clergy
Sacraments, memorials, confession, prayer, and pastoral requests.
What can I use requests for?
Anything you'd bring to the clergy: a baptism or chrismation, a wedding, a funeral or memorial, an appointment for confession, a pastoral visit or home blessing, a prayer request, an inquiry about becoming Orthodox — or anything else. Each one goes straight to the parish's clergy.
What happens after I send a request?
Your request lands in the parish's queue and you're given a short reference. Clergy follow up personally — usually within one business day. If your matter is urgent, please also contact the parish directly rather than waiting on the form.
Do I need an account?
No. Just leave your name and either an email or a phone number so the parish can reach you. If you're a signed-in parishioner, you can sign in first to keep your requests together and pick up the conversation later.
Is what I write kept private?
Your request is shared only with parish clergy and staff. Confession is held in the seal. For a prayer request you can choose whether it stays private with the priest or is shared on the parish prayer list read at the Liturgy.
Your parishioner account
Signing in and your My Parish account.
I’m a parishioner — where’s my account?
Sign in and you'll land in your My Parish account — your giving history and statements, your RSVPs, your household, and more, in one place.
How do I sign in?
Use your email and password. For your security you'll also be asked for a short code emailed to you when you sign in. If you can't get in, the parish office can help you reset access.
How do I see my giving history or change a recurring gift?
Both live in your member account once you're signed in. You can review past gifts, download a statement, and pause or change a recurring gift there — or simply ask the parish office to make a change for you.
I still can’t find what I need.
Reach the parish directly through the contact page, or send a note through requests — a real person will get back to you.
