What to expect

What time should I arrive?
Anytime works. Most arrive a few minutes before Liturgy at 9:30; Orthros (which begins at 8:40) is sung throughout and you can slip in quietly.
What do I wear?
Modest and comfortable. There is no dress code.
May I receive communion?
Blessed bread (antidoron) is offered to everyone after Liturgy. The Eucharist itself is for Orthodox Christians who have prepared by prayer, fasting, and confession.
How long does Sunday Liturgy last?
About 90 minutes, plus coffee hour after. Children come and go; nobody minds.
When is the next great feast?
Pascha (Easter) and Christmas anchor the year, with feasts of the Theotokos and the saints throughout. Subscribe below to keep the whole calendar in front of you.
